SMHS ASB has received numerous “Outstanding Leadership Program” Awards from the California Association of Student Leaders, representing the success our program brings to our students and community. Whether it be through our powerful Blue Crew Student Section or donating back to our community through our annual Giving Tree Event where we supply numerous items to various families in need every holiday season, SMHS ASB continues to be the identifiable dominating program for the City of San Marcos.
What Has SMHS ASB Done on Campus?
The events and ideas are endless with SMHS ASB, especially with the guidance from our ASB advisors and directors. With such an outstanding program for leadership, our school has had the ability to hold some of the best school events county wide. ASB, along with the help of many students and staff on campus, has been able to create long lasting memories at San Marcos High, through so many of our events. Examples of SMHS events would be Homecoming, Formal, Prom, Discovery Bowl Week, Giving Tree, Spirit weeks, Talent Show, SM Idol, Blood Drive, among so many more! ASB provides many resources/materials which all sorts of new ideas out, and students on campus have been able to express their creativity to the maximum. ASB has held various amounts of events for students, but has also been able to give back to the community while actively attempting to develop a long lasting bond on campus.
